As we say goodbye to 2024, the Paladino Rudd Interior Design team reflects on a year of success, growth, and gratitude. We are profoundly thankful to our design clients, whose trust fuels our creativity. We are thankful for our partners, who elevate our visions into reality. Finally, we are thankful for our incredible team, whose passion and dedication inspire everything we do. This year has been one to celebrate, with meaningful opportunities, unforgettable experiences, and collaborations that have shaped the future of our Palm Beach Gardens interior design studio.

Always Inspired with Interior Design

This year brought us closer to the heart of design and artistry. Our interior design team attended the C.Next Design conference in beautiful Mexico. We also attended the amazing design summit with DLN (Design Leadership Network) in Scotland. We embarked on inspiring trips to the Fine Art Handcrafted Lighting Studio, immersing ourselves in their intricate process of crafting exquisite pieces. At Art Basel, we connected with cutting-edge creativity and global influences that continue to inspire our upcoming South Florida interior design projects.

Sitting down with BUILD Magazine was another highlight. Sharing our story and vision with such an esteemed publication was an honor. You can watch the video below or by clicking here. We were thrilled to be part of exclusive interior design showrooms that spotlighted our work, along with others in the industry. Additionally, we had the opportunity to attend the Kips Bay President's Dinner, which added a touch of glamour and camaraderie to the year.

Along with these events and trips, we started a new modern interior design project in Southport, NC. We are super excited about this and we also finished a beautiful second home design project for our client in Asheville, NC, as well.

Looking Ahead to 2025

Moving forward, 2025 is brimming with promise. We’re excited to unveil a stunning new lighting and design project that will reflect our commitment to blending innovation with timeless elegance. This year also brings a calendar full of events. We love these showcases where we can connect with our community and share our passion for luxury design. We can’t wait to collaborate further, expand our horizons, and bring fresh ideas to life.

Thank you for being part of our journey. Here’s to an extraordinary year ahead!

Paladino Rudd Takes On Alaska

IMG_7154

With the start of fall we've reflected on some of our favorite summer highlights! We must say, hands down it was setting sail in Alaska with Anne and David Sutherland of Perennials and Sutherland, two long-time leaders in luxury interior design materials. After decades of a wonderful partnership, they generously invited us to explore The Last Frontier aboard their beautiful vessel. It's always the best when colleagues become companions, and we were just that when exploring this destination. We couldn't have had better hosts to take us on this chilly yet eye-opening adventure.

This was our first time in Alaska, and there was plenty to see. From whales, seals, and tortoises to icebergs with all shades of blue. Shocked by the natural world, this flipped our perspective and got us looking into a whole new coastal interior design inspiration. We loved fishing, playing cards, and enjoyed many laughs. Although it was a close call, we concluded that Allison is definitely the best at fishing. We even learned some new facts! Alaska is the largest rainforest in the nation—who knew?

Anne and David have been our friends for quite some time, and it has been a joy to get to know them and their team for many years. There is so much mutual respect, and it has only grown. Ever since our return from sea, we've been diving into new interior design projects and couldn’t help ourselves from placing an order on “Homespun,” a Perennials performance fabric we can't get enough of!

Allison Paladino at the Inside Out Showroom with Florida Design

IMG_1087 (1)

I recently kicked off summer in the best possible way – alongside colleagues who have become my great friends. On June 9, Florida Design and the Inside Out showroom hosted me for a presentation to discuss the “Ins & Outs of Developing a Product Line.” I love developing luxury interior design products, so it was pure fun to share my tips, tricks, and slight mishaps along the way – it is all part of the journey!

Founder of Inside Out, Joy Eber, and Florida Design magazine have both been a part of my own journey. I’ve known Joy for nearly 25 years. She has always been very supportive of my interior design career, and we have a special connection that I value. When I released my first furniture and lighting collection with Century Furniture in Chicago, she congratulated me and sent me flowers to the show. She is a star, and she surrounds herself with a team that matches her enthusiasm and can-do attitude.

Florida Design magazine has celebrated key moments and milestones with us. When Zita Rudd was promoted to partner, who better to sponsor the event? That was where we had the pleasure of meeting Florida Design’s editor-in-chief, Luis Rigual, who introduced me to the Inside Out design community. Just like creating a collection, it all comes full circle!

Thank you to everyone who joined us, to Inside Out showroom, to Florida Design magazine, and of course – to my wonderful product collaborators in interior design: Perennials, Fine Art, EJ Victor, and Century! It is hard to believe that this tiny little bit can illuminate the glass hand cut dichroic glass so beautifully and at the same time be practical to light a space! Because LED’s are fairly new in such a decorative fixtures it really is ground breaking!”

In addition to her new line with Fine Art Lamps, Allison continued to wow the crowds with a stunning new showcase in the EJ Victor Showroom.

All of us here at EJ Victor could not be happier to welcome such a creative talent, Kelly Wearstler to the family!

Allison Paladino at High Point Market 2015

Market in High Point, NC, is always an exciting time of year, but this Fall we had plenty of reasons to celebrate! Many new furniture introductions were launched, including the David dining armchair featuring fabulous ribbed chrome details on the back where the arm wraps around the chair, on the arm itself, and a polished chrome ferrule on the foot! Also introduced was the JJ console in chrome, a walnut shelf with drawers, and glass, just to name a few.

Allison and her staff also celebrated with EJ Victor in honor of their 25th anniversary, along with the introduction of the Kate Spade Collection sponsored by the Hearst Group, Saturday, October 17th.

Another successful season with Fine Art Lamps is in the books as well! This High Point Market, Allison Paladino, a leading Palm Beach Gardens interior designer, introduced eight new lighting pieces to her line.

The artisans of Fine Art Lamps did such a fabulous job of achieving her vision! They truly captured the impeccable craftsmanship through the beautiful antique silver, gold, and bronze frames, as well as the organic feel of the cut glass that looks like natural quartz.

Fine Art Lamps also celebrated the evening with a party in honor of their 75th Anniversary!

Both Allison and her colleague Libby Langdon viewed for the first time the Fine Art Lamps showroom in High Point, NC, with the reception area now lined with all of Allison’s lighting collection!

“It was very exciting to see that my lighting collection was lining the hall and reception area of Fine Art Lamps! We also placed in the reception area some furniture pieces from my collection with EJ Victor. Around the corner walks my pal Libby, whom I did get a fist pump of approval from! Thanks, Libby!” says a very excited and grateful Paladino!

A Day of Design at DCOTA – “Timeless Trendsetters” with Allison Paladino, Laura Kirar

 top interior designers

DCOTA – Design Center of the Americas, November 2014

Designers, both new and experienced, gathered in the bright and airy Atrium C of the Design Center of the Americas (DCOTA), and major hub for South Florida interior design, on the morning of November 13, 2015. Moderator Betty Cortina-Weiss, Editor-in-Chief of Indulge Magazine, along with three of the country’s top interior designers, took the stage for a morning of creative discussion. Three of the most sought-after designers, including Palm Beach Gardens interior designer Allison Paladino, Laura Kirar and Windsor Smith, spent an hour in a casual, personal, fun but informative conversation covering topics from “how technology has changed their business” to “how their childhood bedrooms shaped their design careers.”

After the discussion panel wrapped up with a rapid-fire Q&A session, the audience and designers moved up to the Baker showroom to sip fresh tequila cocktails and preview Laura Kirar’s newest furniture line. Following the brief cocktail reception, guests made their way down the hall to the Century Furniture showroom for an array of lunch bites and a tour of Windsor Smith’s bright and timeless collections, a highlight for interior designers from across South Florida.

The afternoon ended on a sweet note as guests popped a few doors down for coffee, desserts and a sneak preview of Allison Paladino’s interior design furniture and art collection, a cumulative 120-piece line created with Wendover Art Group and EJ Victor. The event was hosted by the owners and staff at the Judith Norman showroom and served as a vibrant celebration of the region’s luxury interior design community.

South Florida Interior Design Firm Announces Major Expansion

To our Clients, Colleagues, and Friends in the Media:

We’ve got exciting news to share and want you to be among the first to hear!

I’m proud to report that business at our South Florida interior design firm is on the upswing and we are very busy, with a growing client roster and multiple projects throughout South Florida, as well as New York. My furniture collection for E.J. Victor is also gaining new placements in retail stores and design centers across the country, as well as international venues.

Just last month, we opened our first international gallery in Panama, at Addison House, a high-style contemporary home furnishings chain that also has showrooms in Aventura and Miami. Addison House represents more than 100 of the finest furniture manufacturers in the world, primarily from Europe, Brazil, and Indonesia, and I’m thrilled that the Allison Paladino Collection for E.J. Victor is now represented among their offerings. I had an opportunity to travel to Panama for the Grand Opening of the gallery, and it was a great experience for me to interact personally with the store’s executive team and to introduce their customers to my designs.

As this busy and exciting summer winds down, I’m hard at work preparing for the upcoming High Point Market. I’ll be sharing more about the new designs I have planned for introduction this Fall in upcoming reports and blogs, but watch for news about the modern, low-profile Legend sofa named for my friend Steven Avitale, senior director of furniture galleries at Ralph Lauren, and the oversized Kuester club chair, and 1930s French-inspired coffee table with a waterfall edge. All push my design aesthetic (and comfort zone!) further into the modern realm and I can’t wait to show you!

Finally, if you are attending the High Point Market, please mark your calendars now for Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at 2 p.m. and join me in the E.J. Victor showroom at 116 S. Lindsay Street in High Point for a special seminar: Luxury Design Insight 2012. I’ll be joined for the talk by Sarah Kammlah and Cecilia Berber-Thayer. Ellen Gefen, host of Home Fashion Report and editor of thehome.com is moderating. We’ll be focusing on key trends and the changing needs of the high-end consumer. Email erikab@ejvictor.com to reserve a spot!

Allison Paladino Interior Design is in Growth Mode

South Florida luxury interior design

Good news to report! While signs of a newly percolating economy and revitalized housing market remain elusive for many, our South Florida interior design firm, Allison Paladino Interior Design, continues to grow. We’re expanding our executive team and have added a new design position to meet the increasing demand for our Palm Beach–area interior design services.

Here’s the scoop: Zita Rudd who has served as senior designer for the past five years has been promoted to the position of Junior Partner of Allison Paladino Interior Design.

As many of you know, Zita—who emigrated to the U.S. from her native Holland as a teenager—is something of an American success story. She was born and raised in Amsterdam and relocated here at the age of 14, literally knowing how to say two words in English: hello and goodbye. A hard worker, she joined my firm following graduation from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, and her perseverance and drive were apparent early on.

“I’m a multi-tasker, and there are so many working parts to a successful project that there’s always something new and exciting to deal with,” Ziti says. “There’s never a dull moment around here, and I take great pride in working for this company. Allison challenges me every day, and she’s given me a great opportunity. She’s taught me what it means to make clients’ dreams come true.”

(O.k., I’m blushing).

Seriously, I’m incredibly excited about Zita’s more senior role moving forward. Over the past five years, she has grown into an integral and invaluable member of our team. Talented, efficient, and personable, she has proven herself capable of assuming increased responsibilities, and she’s earned this new title.

Our client roster continues to grow, with multiple projects underway throughout Palm Beach Gardens, West Palm Beach, Jupiter, and the greater South Florida luxury interior design market, as well as in New York. The Allison Paladino team is rising to the challenge, and we look forward to bringing elevated, timeless design to homes across the region.

Stephanie Dining Table Named Best of Market!

South Florida luxury interior design

Wow! The May 9, 2012 issue of industry trade publication Furniture Today just hit the newsstands, and the Stephanie Dining Table was named to the publication’s bi-annual “Best of Market” section.

Introduced two weeks ago at the High Point Market—the world’s largest home furnishings trade show—the Stephanie Dining Table is among the newest additions to my luxury furniture collection at E.J. Victor. Offered in two different sizes (84 and 96 inches), I designed it without a leaf to simplify people’s lives. The oak table surface features an interesting checkerboard pattern, surrounded by a textural apron. The table’s legs are situated in horseshoe patterns above a pair of dramatic C-shaped stretchers (does it remind you of a certain fashion house logo?) and have been carefully positioned to ensure everyone around the table enjoys plenty of leg room.

The news this Market was a new, lighter finish called sand. While lighter finishes and oak are typically associated with more casual looks, the story here is about sophistication—perfect for South Florida luxury interior design projects. Until now, I’ve focused on beautifully rich, dark woods like crotch walnut, rosewood, and zebrawood in all of my designs for E.J. Victor. This season, I was inspired in part by the needs of my Palm Beach interior designer clients, many of whom are gravitating toward lighter finishes, and in part by the juxtaposition of light and dark.

In the background of the picture, you see my new Lorelei Cabinet, a terrific companion piece to Stephanie, with its creamy limestone top and alternating wave pattern door and drawer fronts. Lorelei is also decidedly smaller in scale and lower in height to leave enough room above it to accommodate a great mirror, wonderful painting, or TV in spaces with lower ceilings. This is a multi-purpose piece that could be used as a dresser, buffet, media cabinet, or bar. I love its undulating curves, which remind me of a wave—a detail many clients look for in Palm Beach Gardens interior design projects.

Both of these pieces, along with the accompanying Parker Dining Chairs, could only be produced by a company like E.J. Victor, which is steeped in the art and craft of high-end home furnishings. Achieving the wonderfully warm sand finish requires a complicated bleaching process that few other companies would even attempt today, and certainly none domestically. I am tremendously gratified that furniture like this can still be produced in the U.S., and to be working with the incredible craftspeople required to bring it to fruition at E.J. Victor, delighting clients of South Florida luxury interior design.
