Paladino Rudd Takes On Alaska

IMG_7154

With the start of fall we've reflected on some of our favorite summer highlights! We must say, hands down it
was setting sail in Alaska with Anne and David Sutherland of Sutherland and Perennials. After decades of a
wonderful partnership, they generously invited us to explore The Last Frontier aboard their beautiful vessel. It's
always the best when colleagues become companions, and we were just that when exploring this destination. We
Florida girls couldn't have had better hosts to take us on this chilly yet eye - opening adventure.

This was our first time in Alaska and there was plenty to see. From whales, seals, and tortoises to icebergs with
all shades of blue. Shocked by the natural world this flipped our perspective and got us looking into a whole
new coastal world. We loved fishing, playing cards, and enjoyed many laughs. Although it was a close call, we
came to the conclusion that Allison is definitely the best at fishing. We even learned some new facts! Alaska is
the largest rainforest in the nation, who knew?

Anne and David have been our friends for quite some time, and it was a joy to get to know them and their team
for many years. There is so much mutual respect, and it has only grown. Ever since our return from sea we've
been diving into new projects and couldn’t help ourselves from placing an order on “Homespun” a Perennials
fabric we can't get enough of!

Allison Paladino at the Inside Out Showroom with Florida Design

I recently kicked off summer in the best possible way – alongside colleagues that have become my great friends. On June 9, Florida Design and the Inside Out showroom hosted me for a presentation to discuss the “Ins & Outs of Developing a Product Line”. I love developing product, so it was pure fun to share my tips, tricks, and slight mishaps along the way – it is all part of the journey!

Founder of Inside Out Joy Eber and Florida Design have both been a part of my own journey. I’ve known Joy for nearly 25 years. She has always been very supportive of my career, and we have a special connection that I value. When I released my first collection with Century in Chicago, she congratulated me and sent me flowers to the show. She is a star and she surrounds herself with a team that matches her enthusiasm and can-do attitude.

Florida Design has celebrated key moments and milestones with us. When Zita Rudd was promoted to partner, who better to sponsor the event? That was where we had the pleasure to meet Florida Design editor-in-chief Luis Rigual, who introduced me to the Inside Out audience. Just like creating a collection, it all comes full circle!

Thank you to everyone that joined us, to Inside Out, to Florida Design, and of course – to my wonderful product collaborators: Perennials, Fine Art, EJ Victor, and Century! To learn more about my collections, click the link HERE.

Our Leaders
Allison is an avid traveler with a passion for nature and all it offers. She loves to be anywhere near the water, boating, sailing, snorkeling, fishing and paddle boarding. She's even enjoyed cage diving with great whites in South Africa (and has incredible photos to prove it)! Allison fully embraces an active lifestyle and loves playing a round of golf or catching a ride on her Peloton.

Zita's biggest joy in life is her family—her young daughter, Siena, and her husband, Parker. When she's not busy keeping her mind, business, and health in tip-top shape, Zita loves volunteering with Siena in the local community on the weekends. Two of their favorite organizations are Christ Fellowship and Loggerhead Marinelife Center.

Check out Décor House

The great news just keeps coming! My newest Allison Paladino Collection for E.J. Victor gallery has opened in Coral Gables, Florida at Décor House Furniture, during the gala opening of Décor House’s new design center and showroom last month.

The South Florida social schedule is always a whirlwind of excitement during December, but this was a party to remember! Co-sponsored by Décor House Furniture and Ferguson Bath, Kitchen and Lighting Gallery, it rained like cats and dogs the night of the opening, but the weather did nothing to dampen the spirits of the more than 500 special guests who enjoyed the sneak peak at the new space, great music and champagne. It was a wonderful opportunity for me to catch up with many of my good friends in the design community and get personal feedback on my furniture designs.

Owner Pepe Rodriguez is rightfully proud of the new space and was just as excited about the turnout for the event. Plus, he said he expects my soft modern furniture designs to really resonate with Décor House’s design-conscious customers.

I’m honored by his confidence and thrilled to have a new venue for everyone to see my work, particularly in such a fabulous store. Whether you’re in the business or just love great design, Décor House is well worth a visit. Find it at 4119 Ponce de Leon Blvd., Coral Gables, FL 33146, 305-448-6200.

Allison and the banner outside of Fine Art Lamps! A very exciting time!

Here is Allison showing the watch battery size dim-able LED bulb. “It was fun showing it to customers to see if they could figure out what it was!!! It is hard to believe that this tiny little bit can illuminate the glass hand cut dichroic glass so beautifully and at the same time be practical to light a space! Because LED’s are fairly new in such a decorative fixtures it really is ground breaking!”

Allison’s new lighting fixture was inspired by her love for jewelry and exotic materials like rock crystal and quartz and the Art Deco period!

In addition to her new line with Fine Art Lamps, Allison continued to wow the crowds with a stunning new showcase in the EJ Victor Showroom.

All of us here at EJ Victor could not be happier to welcome such a creative talent, Kelly Wearstler to the family!

Maison Objet Show | Miami, Florida

May 12, 2015 was a very proud day Allison got to share with her parents! Having her new collection front and center at the Fine Art Lamps space in Miami Florida just off the coat tails of the initial launch at the spring furniture shows in Milan Italy and High Point North Carolina, was an incredible feeling!

“I could have never done this collection without the creative and talented force at Fine Art lamps including Frank Englesby, the head of the glass department. This man also brought my vision of rock crystal in glass a reality! Way to go Frank as well as Ian Thorton, head of design too!”

Allison also shared this moment with some of her fellow colleagues from the Design Center of the Americas: left to right Gary and Melissa from John Rosselli, AP and Andrew from Carriage House.

This Calls For A Celebration! Fall Market 2015

Market in High Point, NC is always an exciting time of year, but this Fall we had plenty of reason to celebrate! Many new furniture introductions were launched including the David dining arm chair featuring fabulous ribbed chrome details on the back where the arm wraps around the chair, on the arm itself and polished chrome ferrule on the foot! Also introduced was the JJ console in chrome, a walnut shelf with drawers and glass just to name a few.

Allison and her staff also celebrated with EJ Victor in honor of their 25th anniversary along with the introduction of the Kate Spade Collection sponsored by the Hearst Group, Saturday October 17th.

Another successful season with Fine Art Lamps is in the books as well! This season Allison Paladino introduced 8 new pieces to her line!

The artisans of Fine Art Lamps did such a fabulous job of achieving her vision! They truly captured the impeccable craftsmanship through the beautiful antique silver, gold and bronze frames as well as the organic feel of the cut glass that looks like natural quartz.

Fine Art Lamps also celebrated the evening with a party in honor of their 75th Anniversary!

Both Allison and her colleague Libby Langdon viewed for the first time Fine Art Lamps showroom in High Point NC with the reception area now lined with all of Allison’s lighting Collection!

“It was very exciting to see before the market started my lighting collection lining the hall and reception area of Fine Art Lamps! We also placed in the reception area some furniture pieces from my collection with EJ Victor. Around the corner walks my pal Libby which I did get a fist pump of approval from! Thanks Libby!” says a very excited and grateful Paladino!
